It’s Outlier Week here on BTR and so I went with something just a tiny bit outside of the box. I found golden grapefruit juice at the store recently and thought I’d give it a try in my cocktails. As it turns out, the flavor is quite different from ruby red grapefruit juice.

I combined it with just a hint of the sweetness from a pink grapefruit as well as some ginger ale, sauvignon blanc (which is known for its grapefruit notes), and citrus vodka. The result? A delightfully sweet and subtle winter spritzer perfect for sipping on weeknights.

What you’ll need:
2 oz citrus vodka
1 oz sauvignon blanc
1 1/2 oz golden grapefruit juice
1 1/2 oz ginger ale
Pink grapefruit wedge

Directions:
Combine the vodka, wine, and grapefruit juice in a mixing glass. Stir and pour into a wine glass. Add the ginger ale and garnish with the grapefruit wedge to serve.
