I’m under the impression that most people associate rum with tropical destinations and temperatures. Most people likely associate the daiquiri with its popular sibling, the strawberry daiquiri. The strawberry daiquiri is well known for warmer weather locations and even for being served as a non-alcoholic beverage at banquets. The daiquiri, however, is lime-based. In order to keep it a bit more indulgent and fitting for the colder weather, I added some fresh orange juice, too.
What you’ll need:
2 oz rum
1 oz Rose’s lime juice
1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Add the rum, lime juice, and orange juice before shaking well. Strain into a martini glass to serve and garnish with a lime wheel.
