You can set up a bar area and let guests make their own drinks, you can serve wine and beer and skip the hard alcohol altogether, or you can make a couple of different kinds of cocktails as part of your menu. This old fashioned is simple to make, doesn’t require much in the way of provisions, and whiskey drinkers will certainly be thankful this year.
What you’ll need:
2 oz whiskey
1/2 oz club soda
1/2 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
1/2 oz fresh squeezed navel orange juice
Pour the citrus juices into a rocks glass. Add a dash of bitters and the club soda. Stir and add ice. Pour the whiskey over the ice and stir once more. Garnish with the orange peel to serve.
