The Tom Collins is a classic gin cocktail, but switching out gin and replacing it with whiskey makes it a John Collins. Instead of going the complete classic route, I opted to include a bit of 7-Up and lemonade for sugar content instead of sugar or simple syrup. This is the perfect August drink before fall shows up and lemonade takes a back seat.

What you’ll need:
2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz lemonade
1/2 oz 7-Up
1/2 oz club soda
Lemon slices

Directions:
Add ice to a glass and then gently muddle the lemon slices. Pour in the bourbon, lemonade, 7-Up, and club soda. Stir and serve.
