As Birthday Week comes to a close, Sunday Brunch is just getting started. So, I thought it best to combine a little bit of America with a brunch classic.
What you’ll need:
3/4 cup white wine
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup seltzer
Slice the tops off of the strawberries, wash them, and put them in a blender. Puree the strawberries and add the orange juice. Blend then add the seltzer and the wine and blend again. It should come out fairly red, but if it doesn’t add 2 more strawberries.
Serve in champagne glasses with strawberry garnishes.
I used wine and seltzer because I didn’t have any cold champagne or sparkling wine. If you have champagne handy, use a full cup and eliminate the wine and seltzer from the recipe. Add ice. The orange juice and strawberries can remain as is.
