Watermelon Lemonade

Father’s Day barbecues stereotypically mean inhaling heavy meats, pasta salad, and loads and loads of beer. For my family, it doesn’t simply because my dad doesn’t eat red meat (or drink beer), but Mondays in the summer are always a good day to eat extra lightly after a weekend of drinking and partying.

This watermelon lemonade tastes like a treat, but will act as more of a detox because it contains mostly water and a tiny bit of a sugar, even with the natural and added sugars combined.

What you’ll need:
1/2 lemon, sliced
1/4 cup watermelon, cubed
3 clementine wedges
12 oz water
Pinch of sugar

Muddle the lemon, clementine, and watermelon at the bottom of the glass. Pour over the water and add the sugar. Stir and serve.
