This smoothie has been a breakfast favorite of mine for years. I love the combination of sweet fruit with gritty cottage cheese and oats as it is, in essence, just a bowl of oatmeal in a glass. Although the texture is arguably far better here, it contains all of the same benefits as a bowl of oatmeal.
What you’ll need:
1/2 cup cottage cheese, whipped
1/2 cup strawberries, sliced and frozen
1/2 cup raw oats
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tbsp clover honey
Break up the banana with your hands and place it in the bottom of a blender. Add the strawberries, oats, cottage cheese, and honey. Pulse once, then pour in the milk and blend until smooth.
Serve in a 16 ounce glass and add ice if needed.
