Spring Strawberries

Entertaining and cooking for large groups can sometimes be quite daunting. One of my personal favorite dessert platters is this one: boozy and light strawberries. The strawberries go well with pretty much anything else on the dessert table any time of year, but work best during the spring and summer months.

What you’ll need:
3 pints strawberries
3 tbsp triple sec
1 tsp confectioner’s sugar

Wash and slice the strawberries. Place the strawberries in a large serving bowl and stir in the triple sec and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Let marinade for about 20 minutes before serving.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

These strawberries also go well in yesterday’s Thirsty Thursday cocktail in place of plain sliced strawberries.
