Whenever I make pumpkin cookies, I wind up with more pumpkin puree than I know what to do with. I’ve been using it lately as an excuse to force myself to eat breakfast by way of a protein shake.
What you’ll need:
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 cup almond milk
1 tsp pumpkin puree
5 walnuts or almonds
Dash of pumpkin pie spice
Crush the walnuts and slice the banana. Add all the ingredients into a blender and whip until smooth. Pour in a bit of water if needed and blend again before serving.
The banana and pumpkin flavor pairing in this shake is really unlike any other I’ve made before. The nuts definitely add a nice fall-inspired touch, but I prefer walnuts to almonds here.
