One of the first ways my father got me to eat fish was with a bottled honey mustard marinade over grilled salmon. Today, I think it is quite clear that I willingly consume all kinds of seafood, so honey mustard grilled salmon has become something of a comfort food for me. Instead of using bottled marinade, we created our own marinade, which is arguably far better.

What you’ll need:
1 1/2 lbs wild king salmon
2 tbsp garlic aioli mustard
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp clover honey
2 tsp powdered ginger

Put the mustard, oil, honey, and ginger in a large glass dish. Stir to combine. Add the salmon skin side down and spoon the mixture over the fish.

Let marinate for 15 minutes before grilling skin side down. Grill for 5-7 minutes, turn over, and brush the remaining sauce over the fish. Grill for another 5-7 minutes before serving.
