Avocado Tomato Crostinis

So far this summer, we’ve talked quite a bit about grilling and barbecue side dishes. Whether you are hosting a barbecue or attending one, it’s important to be armed with enough appetizers to feed guests. These crostini only take about 10 minutes to prepare, but they’ll be gone twice as fast.

What you’ll need:
1 baguette
1/2 pint grape tomatoes, finely chopped
1/8 pint kalamata olives, finely chopped
2 avocados
Olive oil
Crushed red pepper flakes

Thinly slice the baguette into small crostini and toast them until lightly browned.

Spread the avocado on to each slice of bread. Top with the tomatoes and olives and drizzle olive oil over each piece. Add red pepper flakes to taste and serve.
