It’s about time Dish + Drink hopped on the toast trend bandwagon and what better way to do that than with avocado toasts? During my most recent trip to the farmer’s market, I bought a loaf of Hoboken Farms’s Earth Grain Boule: light crumb studded with toasted flax, sesame, sunflower and millet, with rice and oats. My intention right then and there was to finally go home and try out some toast recipes.
What you’ll need:
1 slice multi-grain artisan bread
1/8 cup goat cheese gouda
Red pepper flakes
Lightly toast the bread. While the bread is toasting, melt the cheese in a small skillet in some olive oil.
Plate the bread and spread the avocado evenly on top. Drizzle the cheese over the avocado and add red pepper flakes to taste. Serve open-faced.
