Spinach + Apple Smoothie

The green smoothie is one of my favorite ways to replenish my body after a long weekend. Of course, Columbus Day is more associated with sales than it is with partying and barbecues, but many people choose weekends to let loose with calorie intake. Take this opportunity to start off the four day week on the right foot with some of the best, most filling produce in existence.

What you’ll need:
1 banana
1 apple, cubed
1/2 cup spinach
1/2 cup orange juice
Ice

Directions:
Break up the banana with your hands and place it in the blender. Pour in the orange juice and add the spinach and apple. Add in a few ice cubes and blend until smooth. Serve in a 12-ounce glass.
