This flavorful sauce is quick and easy, and it’s the perfect accompaniment to just about any pasta you have lying around!
What You’ll Need:
Two tablespoons butter
One can of Anchovies
One can of peeled whole tomatoes.
Two cloves of garlic
One white onion
Food processor or blender
Assorted dried herbs (red pepper flakes, basil, sage, thyme)
Slice garlic very thinly.
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add garlic and one can of anchovies. Dissolve.
Roughly chop onion and shallot. Add to food processor, along with can of tomatoes. Blend.
Add blended tomato mixture to anchovies in the pan. Season with herbs and salt and pepper.
Lower heat and cover. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until acidity of tomatoes has calmed. Serve, or Freeze!
