Okay, so the holiday weekend is over and it is likely that you are in desperate need of some clean, healthy meals this week. These chicken black bean burgers are jam-packed with protein, while containing a small amount of fat and carbohydrates. There’s no need to starve yourself post-Thanksgiving. Eat smart instead.
What you’ll need:
1 lb ground chicken
1/2 cup black beans, washed and drained
1/2 cup Mexican shredded cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup egg whites
1/2 tsp Adobo seasoning
1/2 tsp Florida seasoned pepper
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, beans, cheese, egg whites, and seasoning.
Sprinkle half of the breadcrumbs on a waxed paper-lined plate. Make patties with your hands and lay them out on top of the breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the remaining breadcrumbs on top to coat and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Then, saute the patties for 7-10 minutes on a side until the chicken is cooked through before serving.
