Thirsty Thursday x Fitness Week: Fresh Whisky Sour

With Fitness Week in full-swing here it seems I should be suggesting drinks like vodka sodas and red wine, but I’m a man who loves his whisky. Instead of throwing back sugary whisky sours made with sour mix, I thought it best to use fresh juices. Just maybe think twice before pairing these with chicken fried steak.

What you’ll need:
3 oz rye
2 oz fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1 oz fresh-squeezed orange juice
1/2 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
Rose’s lime juice

Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour in the rye. Add in the fresh-squeezed juices and stir. Add a splash of Rose’s lime and garnish with an orange slice before serving.

I used Bulleit rye for this, but Canadian Club or any other rye would do just fine. I also used Rose’s lime juice instead of my own simple syrup because I wanted the hint of sweetness but a bit of an extra citrus kick.
