My dad is a big fan of smokey flavors, which is one of the many factors that makes grilling season his all-around favorite time. One of his go-to dishes for a BBQ is Cedar Plank Teriyaki Salmon. Cooking salmon on the cedar plank infuses it with this rich, round, smoky flavor that compliments the fish oh-so-well.
This dish could not be simpler, or more delicious. Get fired up, and try this one on the grill.
Approximately one hour prior to cooking, soak cedar plank in water.
At approximately the same time, submerge salmon in teriyaki marinade in a pyrex cooking sheet, and place in fridge.
Heat up your grill!
Once grill is ready, place cedar plank directly onto grill rack.
Transfer your salmon from the pan, onto the cedar plank.
Close the hood of your BBQ (this ensures that you keep all that yummy cedar smoke inside!) Cook fish for approximately twelve to fifteen minutes! Remove, allow to cool briefly, and serve right on the plank!
