It’s time for another installment of me-going-to-Madison-Square-Eats-Then-Telling-You-How-Good-It-Was!
(hmmm, maybe I should think of a snappier title.)
Anyways, it seems that it has become my lot in life this summer to try every single food stall at Madison Square Eats and then write dreamy reviews of my sun-filled lunches in the park.
This past week was no different: my coworkers and I moseyed over to the park, and then divided and conquered. The first thing that caught my eye was the Baja Fish Tacos, at Calexico. I figured I should cover all of my bases, so I did the rounds nonetheless, but after eyeing each and everything that the stalls had to offer, the fish tacos still lingered in my mind. After all, it is taco season.
I ordered two tacos, at $5 a piece. A little steep for tacos if you ask me, but I couldn’t help myself.
The fish was beer-battered and fried to perfection; crunchy, juicy, flakey… oh my. It came with a sweet little mango salsa, and a chipotle crema that was absolutely to die for. I scarfed down both tacos in about two minutes flat and regretted not getting a third.
I basked in the sun, still mildly hungry but ultimately content. Another successful meal at Madison Square Eats, another belly-full of fried stuff, another day in the life.
