Chingu Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich

When the weather gets warm, all sorts of delightful food options pop-up where there once was nothingness. One of those options is Madison Square Eats; located but a few blocks from the BTRtoday office.

The conglomerate of delicious food purveyors features cuisines from all over; there’s Thai, Korean, Indian, Italian, Seafood, and oh-so-much-more. Furthermore, booze is allowed, which is obviously a perk in a park.

For my first visit of the year, I agonized over what to choose. Finally–I decided upon Korean, but that wasn’t the end of the battle! There multiple Korean places (I chose Chingu New Korean). And then I had to choose between, like, a million different things on the menu; all of which I wanted to immediately shove into my starving mouth.

Very rough stuff.

I’m a big fan of fried chicken, and I’m a huge fan of Korean Fried Chicken. So, when it got down to the wire, I went for the Fried Chicken Sandwich; complete with homemade kimchi mayo. Yes, please.

The flavor was right on, but I have to be honest; it was not the juiciest nor the flakiest fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The thing is, though, that I’m willing to grant some allowances when it means that I can eat a sandwich in the sunshine after months of cold lunches eaten crouched at my desk.

Next time I go to Madison Square Eats, I’m looking at the Lobster Roll…it’s $18, but damn does it look worth it.
