This week is Unprepared Week here on BTR, which seems like the perfect opportunity to address making last-minute meals at home. This doesn’t necessarily have to mean making dinner in 15 minutes or less, but it does mean understanding how to whip up something with what you already have at hand.

If you and your family love potatoes, chances are you’ll have some in the house at all times. One of the best, no frills side dishes to make is a batch of peppery potato chips. You only need three ingredients and about 45 minutes to spare.

What you’ll need:
7-8 Yukon gold or red potatoes
Florida seasoned pepper
Olive oil

Preheat the oven to 425.

Wash and pat dry each potato. Then, thinly slice them and lay them on a cookie sheet.

Sprinkle Florida seasoned pepper over the potatoes to taste and drizzle a generous amount of olive oil on top.

Bake for 45 minutes and stir the potatoes every 15 minutes. When the potatoes are crispy, remove them from the cookie sheet and serve in a large bowl.
