One of the most old school champagne cocktails in existence is simply called the champagne cocktail: champagne and Angostura bitters, usually with sugar. For many of us, New Year’s Eve is synonymous with popping the bubbly at midnight. This year, serve champagne all night in the form of this wintry and fruity take on a classic. It’s unexpected, but festive nonetheless.

What you’ll need:
3 oz champagne
1 oz grapefruit juice
Angostura bitters
Sugar cube

Directions:
Drop the sugar cube into a champagne glass. Pour the grapefruit juice on top and let the sugar dissolve a bit. Top with the champagne and add two dashes of bitters to serve.
