This week is Body Week. We are looking at the inhumane treatment of animals in the Western world, where many of us view them as nothing more than “bodies” to be raised for the slaughter.
We’ll talk with Matt Rice, the director of investigations for Mercy for Animals, about the stealthy research undertaken by his team at large, name-brand corporations and the federal laws excusing the inhumane handling of animals, especially chickens, throughout farm factories in America.
For our Third Eye perspective into the question this week we’ll wrap it up by talking with Mark Devries. Since 2012, he’s been secretly using spy drones to investigate and expose the environmental devastation caused by factory farms, as documented in his film “Speciesism: The Movie.”
Now he’s an investigations and research associate for Mercy For Animals, an organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals.
Be sure to check out as we take our questions to the streets of NYC!
Also watch us list the top 10 facts of factory farms you probably didn’t know.
