Welcome to Third Eye Weekly — a podcast hosted by BTR’s Matthew DeMello and Jennifer Smith for under-reported news, the spoken word, and radical conversation to keep you informed.

On today’s show, we continue our segment looking back at Occupy Wall Street from its beginnings at Zucotti Park in downtown Manhattan, to its transformation in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Occupy Sandy member Goldi Guerra joins us to discuss the evolution of the protest movement, including the organization’s depiction in The New York Times.

And later, MIT Linguistics professor and renowned intellectual dissident, Noam Chomsky joins us to discuss some of the biggest foreign and domestic policy issues of 2013 — and what the American media isn’t telling the public about them.

Today’s spoken word segments feature the work of Seth Walker and Jive Poetic.

And as always, don’t forget to check out our Tumblr and Twitter accounts.
