On today’s episode of Third Eye Weekly, we bring you the second part of our segment on computational cell mapping, the first of which aired back during our Biology Week episode. Jayodita Sangvhi of Syracuse University joins us to talk about working with lead researcher Dr. Markus Covert on the first ever computer model of a single cell organism as well as ways in which their model must prove its experimental usefulness into the future.
And later, renowned security technologist, “guru,” and author, Bruce Schneier joins us to discuss the recent attacks on The New York Times and Wall Street Journal at the hands of Chinese hackers as well as whether the administration’s proposals for addressing this new threat constitutes a militarization of the internet as we know it.
