It’s Discovery NYC Week on BTR!
Featured guests on today’s episode include Kickstarter star Daniel Mustard, a formerly homeless musician that was discovered on the streets of New York City.
But first, Matt interviews 24-year-old dessert shop owner Clio Goodman as part of an extended BTR feature on young entrepreneurs. BTR writer Timothy Dillon joins us to talk more about his research on New York City’s self starters.
Today’s spoken word segments feature the talents of Caroline Rothstein, a Brooklyn-based poet and performer who recently caught the eye of Mama Monster herself – Lady Gaga.
If you’d like to submit a poem to be featured on the air, please send us an mp3 and the text of the poem to thirdeyeweekly dot gmail dot com. Just keep sound quality and next week’s theme (Unsolved Mysteries Week!) in mind.
And finally … DISCOVERY WEEK CONTEST ALERT! BTR is running our first-ever photo contest. Take a snapshot of something you have discovered recently (movie, art, location, quote, WHATEVER!!) and send it in for a chance to be on the BTR Photo Blog! Just hashtag #BTRDiscover on Twitter or Instagram, or send your photo in to our Tumblr page before 11:59pm EST on October 28th to enter!
Without further ado …
