Welcome to Third Eye Weekly–a podcast dedicated to answering the big questions through intimate story telling. Tune in and listen to BTR hosts Zach Schepis and Lisa Autz as they weave spoken words, independent music, and unique stories that help bring our inner and external selves to full circle.
Today’s podcast is about adventures. We’ve all had them in some capacity–they come in many shapes and forms. Whether it’s something as simple as leaving home for college, or climbing the highest mountains, adventures help us define what we’re looking for in life, and what it takes to get there.
The big question for this week is: How do we define the adventures in our life, and in what ways do they challenge us to test our limits?
We’ll talk with Dean Karnazes, an American ultramarathon runner who has accomplished many physical feats, including running one marathon in every state in fifty days. We’ll also chat with Katie Spotz, who is the youngest person ever to solo row across the Atlantic Ocean, which she did to raise funds and awareness for clean water resources. Lastly, for our Third Eye perspective into the question this week we’ll wrap it up by talking with Terence Eden, who created a choose-your-own adventure story using the social media platform Twitter.
You can also check out a video of our interview with Terence Eden, informing us on the adaptive and growing avenues for human adventure and story telling.
