Welcome to Third Eye Weekly–a podcast dedicated to answering the big questions through intimate story telling. Tune in and listen to BTR hosts Zach Schepis and Lisa Autz as they weave spoken words, independent music, and unique stories that help bring our inner and external selves to full circle.
Today’s podcast is about our new economy. What is the new economy you may ask? Well, we take a look at how our economic system is constantly evolving and adapting to the changing lifestyle of society. We seek to uncover the unique ways people are recalibrating who they are in the current economic landscape and bringing a little more justice, peace, and creativity to it.
Our big question is: What is the new economy and how do we reinvent ourselves in it?
We’ll talk with Kelsey Ramsden, Canada’s number one entrepreneur two consecutive years in a row. She’ll share with us some of personal strategies she’s employed on the road to her success, which include putting the client first, perseverance, and most importantly, making work about play.
We are also talking with Sarah Meyohas, a photographer and artist who has created her own currency system for investing in her art called BitchCoins. These derivatives of Bitcoins are a way the public can place a sort of stock in her creative work bringing a whole new value system to the artist’s integrity and ingenuity.
Lastly, for our Third Eye perspective into the question this week we’ll wrap it up by talking with Katherine Lucey, CEO and Founder of the organization Solar Sister. Solar Sister is dedicated to outsourcing young, passionate entrepreneurs to Africa, where they help employ women and provide affordable solar technologies to communities in need.
You can also check out a video of our interview with Kelsey Ramsden giving prime advice on starting out as an entrepreneur in today’s economy.
