Dr. Baz Dreisinger is a professor of English at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She’s authored two books, including 2016’s “Incarceration Nations: A Journey to Justice in Prisons Around the World,” has written for the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal among others, and is the founding academic director of John Jay’s Prison-to-College Pipeline Program.
