For the developing regions, undernourished people in the total population have decreased from 23.3 percent in 1990–92 to 12.9 percent. We ask Barbara Ekwall, Senior Liaison Officer at the North America Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, about the most successful initiatives at achieving this goal.
