Uber is transforming the platform for transportation around the world, especially in NYC with a long history of employing the working class as full-time yellow cabbies.

While Uber spends millions on lobbyists to convince policymakers that this transformation is a positive development, politicians in general – especially at the municipal level – are far from convinced. Politicians, with the support of associations like the New York Taxi Workers Association, question and dissent the positive story of Uber.
