Today: Thursday, June 4, 2015 – The Daily Beat went down to the eight annual World Science Festival this past weekend to listen to Steven Weinberg’s closing discussion on his new book, To Explain The World: The Discovery of Modern Science. Steven Weinberg is a theoretical physicist and Nobel laureate in Physics due to his collaborative work with scientists, Abdus Salam and Sheldon Glashow, in creating the unification of the weak force and electromagnetic interaction between elementary particles.

He is currently a professor at the University of Austin. His research on elementary particles and cosmology has won him many prizes including the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics and the 1991 National Medal of Science.
