Today: Wednesday April 15, 2015 – This week’s podcast reviews the #SAVENYC campaign taking storm throughout social media. It began through the efforts of Jeremiah Moss, the author of the Vanishing New York Blog. Now across the city, people are rallying to pass the Small Business Jobs Survival Act to protect the rights of our favorite local shops to survive.
Today, you will hear from advocates of the #SAVENYC campaign helping to protect small businesses in NYC. Much work is being done to spread awareness of the dwindling local shops that cannot compete with commercial real estate. Journalists, small business owners, workers and public advocates are all coming together for the cause.
