Carlo Minchillo tells us about the Brooklyn Drum Collective, an organization he co-founded with the purpose of building a stronger community local drummers and musicians more generally. We hear music from Powersnap, Bizarre Sharks, and True Dreams, who are all playing a BDC-sponsored show on the rooftop at Our Wicked Lady on July 19th, along with Catty. We also hear from a few projects Carlo has recently begun playing with, himself: Pocket Protector, The Planes, and Glass Slipper. Pocket Protector is playing “High Tea with the New Restaurants” at the Footlight on July 27th, so we also hear from The New Restaurants and Flying Pace (who are also on the bill).
