This week, my guest is Amy Roiland, the multi-talented blogger/designer/photographer/stylist/PR whiz/entrepreneur behind A Fashion Nerd and the newly-launched app FashionTap! Amy joins me to talk about the start of her blog and how its grown; the development of the brilliant FashionTap and the ways in which it will help the style community to connect more easily; her vintage-inspired aesthetic and some of her favorite eyewear labels; a few exciting projects ahead, and more!

Plus, as always, I’ve got a playlist filled with the latest indie releases, including new music from Dublin’s Villagers, a track off the long-awaited debut LP from singer-songwriter Little Lapin, and a song off the sophomore release from New York’s Miniboone. So get your geek chic on this week and nerd out in style with Sew & Tell on BTR!

Odds & Ends
– Looking for the perfect spring polish? Look no further! This Dior Nail Glow , which I found courtesy of Cup of Jo, is like tinted moisturizer for your nails. It just bumps them up a notch and makes them look *finished.*
This is the Mint Julep recipe that Tim & I will be trying out this year in honor of the Derby – it takes a few liberties with the classic, but the inclusion of apricot liqueur?? Yes. Please. For those who want to do a virgin toast for the festivities, try this equally refreshing lavender lemonade (thanks Thug Kitchen!)
– What could be more chic for summer than a classic linen tee? And thanks to Everlane, you can get a gorgeous, ethically produced summer staple for $35.
– If you haven’t watched John Oliver eviscerate fast fashion production, you probably should
This show is my new obsession. I mean, John Kransinski doing “Proud Mary” in a Tina Turner dress almost broke TV. To say nothing of the performance that scored Anna Kendrick the win… if you have not yet seen “Lip Sync Battle,” do yourself a favor. Trust me.
