It’s Craft Week here on BTR, and craft + fashion can only mean one thing: DIY project time! I’m joined this week by Jenni Radosevich, editorial staff member at InStyle, and creative mastermind behind the popular fashion project blog I Spy DIY. From make-it-yourself crystal necklaces to the latest nail art trends, sprucing up a pair of shoes, or adding a unique look to that Ikea vase, Jenni’s tutorials have you covered. Plus, she’s got a ton of great inspiration posts that keep you up-to-date on all the latest styles! On today’s show, Jenni will talk about the start of I Spy DIY, how *not* learning to sew made her who she is today, a few of her favorite style icons, and her top shops for craft supplies.
All that, plus a set of brand new music from artists Mikal Cronin, Wampires, and Bibio, along with a set dedicated to the stylistically diverse roster of Toronto’s record label Arts & Crafts. Grab that glue gun, and get ready to bedazzle here on BTR with Sew & Tell!

*Have you seen Tiffany’s Gatsby-inspired collection?? To. Die. For. (Also, Brooks Brothers has a super snappy Gatsby menswear line, full of summery, sartorial suits!)
*You have to check out Dane’s new food blog on BTR, Dish + Drink. It’s awesome! And follow the Dish + Drink Pinterest board for his latest recipes & posts.
*Sooooo, researchers at Duke University have apparently come up with a 3D PRINTED INVISIBILITY CLOAK. And our lives will never be the same.
*I never wanted to post a second time about Kim K., but everyone’s been buzzing about her baby shower invites. Which are, of course, insane & over-the-top.
*Jessica Chastain had *matching spanx* under her gorgeous gown on the red carpet at Cannes!! Which raises two questions: 1) Why in the world does she need spanx? and 2) Did she have them custom dyed? (One has to assume yes…)
*Some of the top red carpet looks from Cannes.
*Some of my own recent summer wardrobe acquisitions that I am loving: this paper-thin Eileen Fisher pullover, this Everlane tote, and this gorgeous necklace from Nola Bella, an anniversary gift from my sweet husband.
*Gap is one of the major US retailers who have refused to sign the Bangladesh Safety Accord. Thankfully, customers are not happy, and they’re letting Gap know.
*Helen Mirren is pretty much the best celebrity ever.
*Some more awesome DIY fashion & style blogs to follow: Honestly WTF, P.S. I Made This, a pair & a spare, and One of Each.
*Tutorials for a beautiful color fade t shirt, and an awesome color block blouse!
*If you were a fan of the Arts & Crafts label set, follow them on Facebook or Twitter for news on upcoming releases, tours, and more! And hey, speaking of getting crafty… check out their cool new collaboration with Etsy!

*Check out GQ’s Awkward Family Photos with Danny McBride and Maya Rudolph.
*The Sartorialist caught some great images last week in keeping with the denim summer trend. These blues are really beautiful.
*David Beckham announced his retirement from professional football/soccer/whatever it’s really called, but he certainly won’t be stepping down from his throne as sartorial king.
*Warby Parker opened a location in Boston earlier this week. Also, this.
*Fashion Beans released a how-to piece for men on stylishly wearing shorts this summer without being too casual.
*A great DIY fashion project for taking a classic sweater or blazer to the next level.
