Today’s episode of The Jazz Hole with Linus starts with a track from “Human Dust Suite” by NYC-based Japanese-born pianist and composer Miki Yamanaka, and also includes music from two Toronto-based artists’ albums: “Bridges” by the Trinidad-born saxophonist and composer Jesse Ryan and “City Abstract” by vibraphonist and composer Dan McCarthy. We are also listening to some classical cross-overs in form of Quinsin Nachoff’s Violin Concerto, Movement I from the saxophonist and composer’s latest album “Pivotal Arc” featuring virtuoso violin soloist Nathalie Bonin, and two compositions by jazz pianist Pete Malinverni from his latest album “Candlelight” with classical violinist Juliet Kurtzman.
