Today’s episode of The Jazz Hole with Linus features a few projects that are more on the experimental, avant-garde and free jazz side. You will get to hear music from 3 brand new releases that came out on the Argentinian ears&eyes records label, all three of them are lead by fantastic Argentinean musicians: Sin Tiempo by pianist Leo Genovese with his local trio featuring Mariano Otero and Sergio Verdinelli, the EP “In another night, in another world” by saxophonist and composer Camila Nebbia (joined by Maya Keren and Akiva Jacobs), and No Comunica by the quintet Formica / Edward / Carracedo Lauretti / Alarcón / Ledesma. The other tracks on today’s episode come from Mary Halvorson’s Code Girl, a group lead by Brooklyn-based guitarist and composer Mary Halvorson and from Trinidad-born, Toronto-based saxophonist and composer Jesse Ryan’s self-released debut album Bridges.
