Only one NYC-based band, Fishes (with their debut album Fishes In Space), on today’s episode of The Jazz Hole, because once again, host Linus received a myriad of great jazz music from our northern neighbors, Canada. This means you get to hear more from the Nick Fraser/Kris Davis/Tony Malaby Trio (with Ingrid Laubrock & Lina Allemano) and their latest album “Zoning”, from the great Montreal-based vocalist and composer Sonia Johnson and her new album “Chrysalis” (her first in English language album!) and from veteran Toronto jazz guitarist Ted Quinlan’s new album Absolutely Dreaming. Plus, introducing Toronto’s iconic musical magicians The Shuffle Demons on The Jazz Hole. The 35 year old band just released its 9th album “Crazy Time”.
