We’re always trying to drop the best Japanese beats from Hokkaido to Okinawa. We’ve yet again succeeded. With bands like Stereopony, People in the Box, Tfvsjs what else do you need? Sit back and get ready to be amazed.
Japan in the New Year. Let’s think about that for a moment shall we? Okay, good, now don’t tell anyone what you were thinking as none of it will come true. Hanabi is immune to that however. We promise to eat more Japanese curry this year. Oh, and find you more crazy bands to listen to. Let’s start with some Gesu no Kiwami Otome. While we’re at it, some Towa Tei will do nicely. Let’s not forget Yui Horie
I’ve had no less than two different documenting their current trips to Japan this week. Needless to say, Hanabi is now jealous and feeling quite spiteful towards them rather than celebrating their good times. Japan is a super fun time and even though Hanabi has been, it’s very upsetting when other people go there an rub it in that Hanabi wasn’t invited. So this week’s playlist represents all the spitefulness, envy and sadness, Japanese-style, that we could think of. Just kidding, although Japan is fun, we’re happy for them.
When you meet a lovely girl who is super into all the vintage and mod stuff you ever dreamed of. Then she tells you she likes the 5,6,7,8's and you tell her that you're in the unique position of playing them for her on your Japanese music radio show. So you do that, and give her a shout out. Then you find out TOE is on tour and coming stateside. That's just icing on the cake right there.
Yeah! It's time for another round of hot Japanese sonic madness with lyrics you totally can't understand so there's a high probability that they are in fact talking about you.
Don’t hate, but we may have snuck a Taiwanese band in this week. We occasionally like to keep people on their toes and guessing. Sometimes we get crazy and throw a K-Pop, or HK-Pop band in just for fun. Anyway, this week we thought you deserved some tracks from bands like Sour, also more from Kyoka and the cleverly named Young Juvenile Youth.
