Episode 204…

Robert Bryn and Martin Cartagena, of Wild Yaks, are In The Den for Monday. I saw the band at Saint Vetus in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Friday night, where they played a birthday party for Emma K.P. & Jayson Green, frontman of Violent Bullshit. The VBS headlined, and Steel Phantom opened, with Wild Yaks wedged in the middle like dynamite.

Having not bore witness to a Yaks show since SXSW 2010, I was quite excited. The show delivered on all counts, with the two new Yaks playing off Robert and Martin like Rondo to Garnett.
