WELCOME to the Green Mountain Bluegrass Hour’s 6th Anniversary Special. That’s right, back in June of 2008 I started up with Break Thru Radio as the Resident Bluegrass Disc Jockey. Things haven’t changed much, aside from a massive renaissance in bluegrass! The amount of festivals, shows and new releases have been on the rise in the past 6 years thanks to new generations of bluegrass musicians coming through to take on the challenge, and putting on a good show! Here are 6 bands worthy of note, each pushing the genre forward in their own way. Bryan Sutton, Chatham County Line, Milk Carton Kids and Mark Newton and Steve Thomas are all out on tour, scroll thought the playlist for details.

And don’t forget to check out our Facebook page for DJ updates and to enter our Summer Contest for a Bose Sound System, Ipad or GoPro Camera!
