Welcome to the Green Mountain Bluegrass Hour. Today DJ Moguls is spinning up some fancy music for the GMBH celebrating spring edition. Check out new tracks from Michael Daves and Chris Thile off their album Sleep With One Eye Open. The 2013 Vermont legislative session is winding down. Sadly, an important lake shore protection bill which would have protected water quality, wildlife and shore land properties stopped short due to a congested Senate, however VT law makers are strengthening end-of-life care, marijuana decriminalization is in the works, a wind power moratorium was narrowly averted and many other wins and losses for the varied political interests in my great state. To get your mind off politics, this hour you’ll hear from Brand New Strings, Doc Watson, Will Patton Ensemble, PossumHaw and more! Also, Thile and Daves are out on tour, be sure to catch them as well as Scott Vestal, Will Patton and the Two Man Gentlemen Band. And you know it, it’s still spring skiing up here in the mountains! Looks like it will stay that way till at least late May when the bluegrass festivals will come on in full force.
