Yay, you’re back! Welcome to BTRtoday’s Discovery Corner podcast brought to you by, Levi’s.
This week we feature Pill–a killer Brooklyn-based band who’s bringing the saxophone back to punk rock!
The group consist of Veronica Torres on lead vocals, Benajmin Jaff on saxophone, Andrew Spaulding on drums, and Jonathan Campolo on guitar. Their sound is echoing and memorizing with remnants of some serious classic punk rock legends, like Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, The Gun Club, and The Violent Femmes. Though they tend to be a little bit more melodic and organized, their sound is a beautiful chaos.
Their last album “Convenience,” released on Mexican Summer is truly a masterpiece. Personally, it’s one of my favorite albums by them thus far. They do not disappoint! Their songs have dark undertones giving off a hazy vibe, yet are still extremely relatable and emotional, which keeps the listener’s ears perked and head bobbing along.
Make sure to check out Pill on all their social media pages to keep up-to-date on what they’re doing and where they’re playing next.
And don’t forget to check out the Discovery Artist feature on Pill!
