Yay, you’re back! Welcome to BTRtoday’s Discovery Corner podcast brought to you by, Levi’s.
Guys, you’re super lucky, because on this episode we’re giving you a sneak peak of the amazing Brian Chillemi’s (aka CHILLEMI) brand spanking new EP before it’s official release (Aug. 9th)!! It’s entitled “I Went To Town” and it will strum your heartstrings ever so softly.
CHILLEMI will sing sweet nothings lightly into your ear while you sit back and listen to his tragic harmonica, light guitar melodies, and lovely vocals. He was born and raised in Sleepy Hollow, NY and has a thing for the past. “I’m living in the now everyday, so it’s nice to go somewhere else,” he tells BTRtoday.
He loves the old school aesthetic and vibe–simpler times, more straight forward, and stripped down. In fact, in his video for the track “Debbie,” he filmed the soft acoustic song about the struggles of a blind transgender woman in the ’60’s entirely on a 1970’s tube camera. It’s soft and hazy, and takes you back to another time and place.
“I Went To Town” will be officially released as cassette on Time Castle Recordings on August 9th, and CHILLEMI’s release party will be at Idio Gallery in Brooklyn, NY that same night. So get to town, ’cause you’re not going to want to miss this!
And make sure to check out the Discovery Artist feature on CHILLEMI!
