Yay, you’re back! Welcome to BTRtoday’s Discovery Corner podcast brought to you by, Levi’s.
This week we listen to The Gooch Palms.
Before you go overanalyzing the name of the band, check out their punk rock/ pop-infused tunes. (No, not pop-punk, punk rock with hints of pop inspirations!) It’s uplifting and relatable!
Kat Friend (percussion) and Leroy Macqueen (vocals/guitar) met as teenagers and have been inseparable ever since. However, they’re not like your regular old soul-mates, they needed more. So, about four or five years ago they decided to form a band, and thus The Gooch Palms were born!
They were born and raised in the small Australian town of New Castle, but have since found their base in California. However, it’s hard to pin them down, because this couple is constantly on tour. They recently returned from a successful Australian tour, where they were proud to bring a huge crowd out for their hometown show and blow some old friends’ minds, and now they’re rearing up to hit North American!
So make sure to check out all their social media pages to keep up-to-date on where they’re headed, watch their very entertaining music videos, and listen to what they come up with next!
And don’t forget to check out the Discovery Artist feature on The Gooch Palms!
