This week on the ol’ Discovery Corner I’m featuring Caribbean producer/solo musician Sherwinn “Dupes” Brice! He resides on the island of St. Lucia where apparently their government is in talks to hand over funding to musicians as well as soften the blow of costs to ship imported equipment. Dupes had previously lived in New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut and took the East Coast “pace” with him to the island where things are a bit slower. He has no official releases out but singles which you can download on his Bandcamp page, and I’ll be playing all five of them on the show. He and I discussed which celebrities have graced St. Lucia with their vacationing presence, the work ethic of the Caribbean people, and the benefits to creating alternate versions of singles. Heyo!
