This week on Discovery Corner I’m featuring Brooklyn-based solo act Tommy Wallach. He is a man who wears a few hats; in addition to his solo project, he’s also a published author. His debut novel, We All Looked Up, will be coming out in March of 2015 and the album that I’ll be playing songs from dropped last week called I Meant It To Be Sweet. He originally took influence from Ben Folds Five in their respective early days but now Wallach seems to be all over the place, with a gypsy jazz song here and a song sung in French there. We discussed why nice people do yoga, how he juggles three careers, and his thoughts on the Slate piece “Against YA.” Things are getting literary up in here!
