This week on the ol’ Discovery Corner I’m featuring Marching Band of Linkoping, Sweden! They are an indie-pop duo comprised of Erik Sunbring and Jacob Lind. I spoke with the two of them through a three-way Skype call. Marching Band is enjoying some down time after touring to Japan in support of their third full-length So Much Imagine, which I’ll be playing selected tracks from. The band is unabashed with their influences which you can tell by looking at their Facebook page, they’re not afraid to post tracks from contemporaries and friends in great abundance. They were told by their label to do “something” on their social media page. The three of us spoke about ABBA, how Swedes go to college for free, and the high standards of singing in Swedish. This is a real Swede show!
