This week on the show I’m featuring Feral Mouth of Norwich, UK, the most musically and culturally interesting area of England in my humble opinion. The reason I think this is because every band I’ve spoken to from there has had this disenfranchised stance in the way they approach music. The city seems light years away from the mainstream music culture of London so even the folk bands in Norwich are vaguely punk rock. Feral Mouth is no different. Their last official release was the EP Olympus Chympus and so I will be playing songs from that as well as unmastered cuts from their upcoming LP Nelson’s County. I spoke to Jape and Noel from the band about the “folk house” they lived in, their opinions on Mumford & Sons, and how they see Norwich as the Deep South. Let’s folk things up!
