Hello and welcome to Discovery Corner on BTR! We’re on a roll with great Texas bands as of late, so why not keep the proverbial ball, or rather tumbleweed, rolling?
Today we’ll be featuring the Fort-Worth rockers The Longshots. Imagine a mix of punk, garage, and genuine rock with some country and folk roots peaking out of the hard musical dirt. Check out their debut LP, along with a sneak peak at their newest 7” coming out later this year, called Mucho Mango.
We’ll talk with Joey Gorman, one of the songwriters in the band. We riff on the balance between Zen and partying, and why SXSW ain’t what it used to be.
And don’t forget to check out the Discovery Artist feature on The Longshots!
